The UK Cleaning Products Industry Association (UKCPI) has published its 2021 Annual Review, which covers the work of UKCPI’s committees over the last year, as well as an overview of what UKCPI does, who its members are and the range of services provided to members.
Writing in his introduction, Rowland Furse, outgoing Chair of UKCPI’s Council and Head of Regulatory, Hygiene, UK & Ireland at Reckitt, commented:
“As I look back on the last two years, the range and depth of issues that businesses, families and politicians have had to deal with seems incredible – and many challenges are likely to continue for some time yet. Despite this, UKCPI has provided its membership with advocacy to officials and policy makers in particular on the challenges that EU exit has, and will continue to, provide.”
Philip Malpass, Director General of UKCPI, said:
“Yet again during this extraordinary year, the Covid-19 pandemic reinforced the importance of cleaning and hygiene for our health and wellbeing, both at home and in the workplace. Our members worked hard to meet increased demand, under manufacturing restrictions never before experienced. As an association, we provided timely information on correct product use and signposted the general public to further official guidance.”
