UKCPI Annual Dinner

Posted by Charlotte Salter, on December 1, 2016.

UKCPI members enjoyed an excellent annual dinner and drinks event at the House of Commons as guests of David Crausby MP.

The event, on November 21, began with a tour of the Houses of Parliament, then continued with a drinks reception in the Thames Pavillion with views across the river.

Guests included Government officials, academics, other chemical sector associations and representatives from groups UKCPI had worked with during the year.

During the reception, UKCPI Council chair Gemma Cleland welcomed members and guests. She thanked the members for their continued support, particularly those who served on UKCPI’s Council and committees. She also thanked UKCPI staff for their work during another successful year representing a wide range of members’ interests.

The event enabled members to make new connections, renew old friendships, and discuss many of the industry’s pressing issues, from Brexit to biocide regulations.

Earlier that day, UKCPI’s council held its final meeting of the year, followed by the Annual General Meeting, both of which took place at the headquarters of the Institute of Civil Engineers at One Great George Street.
