RP Adam commits to living wage

Tuesday, October 18, 2016

UKCPI member company RP Adam has been accredited as a Scottish Living Wage employer.

The Borders-based company employs more than 80 people across the UK and it recently invested £400,000s in its manufacturing plant at Selkirk.

Living wage accreditation recognises employers for paying their staff a fair wage – which is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually based on the cost of living in the UK.

The living wage, which is paid on a voluntary basis, was established by the Poverty Alliance in partnership with the Living Wage Foundation, and is higher than the national minimum wage.
