UKCPI is the UK Trade Association which represents the broad range of products involved in cleaning, including soaps, hygiene, surface care and air fresheners. We serve around fifty members who cover the vast majority of the UK market for home and professional use. We warmly welcome new members who can easily apply over the Internet by using the Application for Membership below.

The UKCPI recognises that such products occupy a unique position, quite separate from the cosmetics and chemicals industry. As the focal point for contact with a wide range of organisations from UK Government, the European Union, the media, consumer groups and other industry members, the UKCPI is in an unrivalled position to keep each of its members individually informed and represent their views.

We take particular care to serve smaller member companies, who often require more specific assistance in keeping abreast of regulations and industry specific information. UKCPI has created regional UK meetings and a technical helpdesk for all members to provide information, guidance and expert assistance.

As a UKCPI member you can expect:

• Regular Regional Meetings to allow discussion with fellow members, information and clear advice on legislative and industry wide issues.
• Professional representation to UK Government and EU to ensure effects on the industry are taken into account.
• Up to date information on issues and guidelines on a regular basis through the Information Bulletin.
• Specific guidance notes on particular issues such as Packaging Waste.
• Individual help to members where possible.
• The provision of factual information to opinion formers and the general public to combat common misconceptions which could potentially harm the sale of members' products.
• The promotion of good working practices through guidelines and industry wide agreements.

You can apply for UKCPI membership easily over the Internet, although we will require an authorisation signature by fax. Please follow the instructions below.

As a member you are asked to note and abide by the Rules of the Association (click here to read them) and sign a membership application form. Complete the form below to receive an email with a faxback membership form which will confirm we have your details correctly and that you agree to abide by the Association's Rules.

1) To confirm your membership application, fax back the form to us with the signature of the appropriate person within your company.

2) UKCPI will contact you as soon as your membership has been approved at the next UKCPI Council meeting.
